وقالت لامورجيزي، في جلسة عقدت مؤخرا في البرلمان الإيطالي، إنه تمت إعادة حوالي 850 مهاجرا إلى أوطانهم منذ بداية العام الحالي، ووصفت ذلك بأنه “إنجاز تحقق جزئيا بفضل التحاور المستمر الناتج عن الاتفاقيات التي تم التوصل إليها مع السلطات في تونس، إحدى البلدان التي يأتي منها معظم المهاجرين”.
ودعت وزيرة الداخلية الإيطالية، إلى ضرور إدخال سياسات حاسمة للاتحاد الأوروبي في الميدان، لإنشاء شراكات استراتيجية مع دول في شمال أفريقيا بدءا بليبيا وتونس، والتي يمكن من خلالها النص على إجراءات لمكافحة الإتجار بالمهاجرين، وكذلك مراقبة الحدود والتعاون في مسألة الإعادة إلى الوطن، وفق ما أورد موقع المهاجر نيوز.
واعتبرت أن “السبيل الوحيد لمواجهة قضية الهجرة شديدة التعقيد هو وجود سياسة أوروبية واحدة”، مشيرة إلى أن “استراتيجية احتواء تدفقات الهجرة والتحكم في الظاهرة يجب أن يتم النظر فيها أولا وقبل كل شيء على المستوى الأوروبي، لأن إيطاليا مجرد حدود داخلية لأوروبا”.
