وكان كوسي تعرض الأربعاء لإصابة خطيرة فرضت نقله على جناح السرعة لإحدى المصحات، حيث أجرى فحوصات أثبتت إصابته بكسر على مستوى عظم الفخذ، مما عجل بالجراحة التي أجريت تحت إشراف رئيس اللجنة الطبية للنادي الافريقي محسن الطرابلسي.
ووفق المعطيات المتوفرة فان اصابة كوسي تستوجب فترة راحة وتأهيل تستغرق بين 3 و6 أشهر.
ومن جانبه توجّه كوسي برسالة مؤثرة وقوية لاقت رواجا كبيرا في الأوساط الرياضية حين خطّ تحديثة قال خلالها أن ما حصل لا يعتبره إصابة بل اختبارا لدرجة صبره وتقدم بشكره لكل الرياضيين والجماهير التي واسته عقب الاصابة البليغة في مواجهة هلال الشابة.
